Turing Lazarus: what it takes, how it earns, what to check
Turing's Project Lazarus acquires defined rights to a company's operating record for frontier AI training, for a single payment.

- Type
- AI lab or data lab. Licenses or partners for the data itself, under its own agreement.
- Legal entity
- Turing Enterprises, Inc.
- Data it wants
Communications, tickets, wikis, knowledge bases, databases and source code, across software, finance, support, sales, legal and operations. Code is welcome but never bought on its own.
- Who it takes
Any company with a real operating history and someone authorized to transfer the data. Operating, winding-down and closed companies all qualify.
Most regions. Demand is strongest in the US, UK, Canada and the EU, and it flags data-export limits early.
- How it earns
Not published. Turing uses the record for frontier AI training.
- Process
- Intake: a call scheduled within one business day, under NDA.
- Sampling: it reviews a representative slice, usually within a week.
- Offer: one valuation and one contract, with no retainer and no recurring commitment.
- Payout claims
- A single payment of up to $1M, scaled to how complete, rare and well kept the record is. The figure is confirmed after sampling.
Public figure, see sourceSelf-reported by the company unless marked reported.
- Security claims
- Lists SOC 2 Type II. The report is not on the page.
- Says processing runs in an isolated, air-gapped environment, with access limited to a named team.
- De-identification and privacy
Personal data and secrets are removed before anything reaches a model. You approve the scope before work begins.
- Terms for companies
- License or ownership. Its FAQ says you keep ownership of the underlying data and Turing acquires defined rights to the prepared record under one agreement. The page also lists a clean rights transfer.
- Your warranties. Not published.
- Your indemnity and audit. Not published.
- Liability cap. Not published.
- Governing law. Not published.
Check before you share anything
These are facts from the company's own pages or from news and court reports, listed so you can ask about them. They are not verdicts. Companies change their terms, so confirm each one on the company's own page.
- Acquiring defined rights is closer to a transfer than a license, so ask what you can still do with the same record.
- The figure is a ceiling, and the price comes only after sampling.
- The labs it trains for are not named.
