How long does it take to license company data?

The short answer

Stated clocks run from about 2 weeks to 60 days, and none is a full clock. Mercor says payment comes 2 to 4 weeks after signing. A micro1 referral partner said 2 to 3 weeks from interest to finish and about 60 days to payout. All are self-reported.

None of these times is a promise to you, and a review can end in a no.

Why do the clocks not add up?

They count from different events. An engagement, a signed agreement and a transfer are three separate starting lines. A two-week figure from one cannot be laid end to end with a four-week figure from another.

  1. Engagement

A micro1 partner counts about 60 days to payout from here.

  2. Signed agreement

Mercor counts 2 to 4 weeks from here.

  3. Transfer step

micro1 counts about 10 hours of IT work over 1 to 2 weeks.

The micro1 partner's 2 to 3 weeks and 60 days almost certainly count different endpoints, delivery and payment. The video does not reconcile them.

The figures also leave out work on your side. In an undated recorded forum talk, David Revland, who works on human data at micro1, listed seven steps for a corpus deal, and the talk gave a time only for the transfer.

Our process page lists them and the transfer page has the detail.

How long can a court-supervised sale take?

Longer. Spirit Aviation Holdings' business data went to auction in mid-August 2026. Google won the auction, and the sale is pending court approval.

The approval hearing was moved from 14 Oct to 6 Nov 2026 (Travel Weekly, 9 Oct 2026).

No sale order as of 10 Oct 2026. See the Spirit Airlines data sale.

A working company licenses under a contract with a buyer, so a bankruptcy court is not part of its clock.

What shortens your side?

The steps you control come before the first call. List your systems. Size each tool. Finish the rights check. Name the IT person who can run exports.

Counsel's review of your contracts takes the time it takes. It belongs before any signature. The pillar guide walks through the sequence.
