micro1 data partnership payment timeline: the facts

The short answer

The micro1 data partnership payment timeline has an order but no day count on its pages. In an undated recorded forum talk, micro1's David Revland said micro1 verifies delivered data, then pays. A referral partner said payouts arrive about 60 days after the company engages. It leaves engaged undefined.

Payment is the last step of the micro1 data partnership. The seven-step process shows the order.

When does micro1 pay a data partner?

After micro1 checks the data you delivered: transfer, then verification, then payment. That order comes from David Revland, who works on human data at micro1, in an undated recorded forum talk.

micro1 has not said how long verification takes or what happens when data fails it. See our verification page and how much micro1 pays.

What did a micro1 referral partner say about the number of days?

In a micro1 video, a micro1 referral partner was asked how many days until a company is paid. She said payouts typically arrive about 60 days after the company engages with micro1 (self-reported, about 2:54 in). She earns from referrals, and the video is promotional.

It does not say what "engaged" means, such as a first call or a signed agreement. The same video says interested to finished takes two to three weeks, so "finished" most likely means data delivered and not yet paid (inferred).

How do micro1 and the other companies describe timing?

Each row is the company or its partner describing itself.

Polyshares says it pays in 30 to 60 days after approval (its terms page). That is a second 60-day figure, also self-reported.

The clocks start at different events, so they do not compare directly. See Mercor's data program.

What should you ask micro1 to put in writing?

  • What event triggers payment: delivery, verification passing, or something else?
  • When does the clock start, and does "engaged" mean the first call or the signed contract?
  • How many days does verification take, and what happens if it fails?
  • Is payment one sum or in parts, and who pays any fees?

The payment proposal and contract language arrive before the transfer, so the answers can sit in the contract. Talk to a privacy or commercial lawyer in your state before you sign.
