License Zendesk tickets to AI: export, terms, limits

The short answer
To license Zendesk tickets to AI, the account owner must ask Zendesk to turn on exports, which are off by default. You keep ownership but must hold customer and agent consents. Troveo names Zendesk as a source. No per-ticket price is published.
This page covers what is specific to Zendesk. The general case for support data is on our support tickets page.
Which companies name Zendesk?
Troveo's business-data page lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Intercom and Zendesk under CRM, sales and support. That is a marketplace describing its own program.
How do you get tickets out of Zendesk?
Exports aren't enabled by default. Zendesk's help article says the account owner must contact Zendesk Customer Support to turn them on. Admins can then export tickets, users or organizations to JSON, CSV or XML. The path is Admin Center, then Account, Tools, Reports.
The export tools aren't available on Team plans, though the REST API works on every plan. Zendesk recommends JSON above 200,000 tickets. CSV leaves out comments, which is where the conversation sits. The download link arrives by email and stays valid for at least three days.
What does the Zendesk agreement say about the data?
The customer agreement, as it applies to existing customers, says the customer retains ownership of all service data. It also makes the customer responsible for notices to agents and end users. The customer must get any needed consents from them too, so Zendesk can process the data lawfully.
A ticket holds a customer's name, email address and account facts. See customer consent for the notice side.
What does Zendesk do with your tickets for its own AI?
Zendesk's AI data use page (undated) says its proprietary models are not generative. It also says no third party will use your inputs to train its models. That describes Zendesk's use of your data. A license to a buyer is a separate act.
Who removes the customers' names?
Troveo says it scrubs names, contact details, credentials and client identities under one documented standard. A scrubbed ticket can keep a stable label per customer, and that keeps the thread. Our re-identification page covers that trade.
What should you check first?
Your customer contracts, your privacy notice and the notices your agents received. Our rights check asks what your customer contracts allow and whether staff messages are included.
The free fit check asks where the work happens. Talk to a privacy or commercial lawyer in your state before you sign.
Our only referral relationship is with micro1, an AI data company. It may pay us a fee if a company we introduce goes ahead with it. You pay nothing extra. How we are paid
Vaultfish helps you run the process. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. If you need counsel who knows this area, we can point you to one. Ask for a referral
